CCLA East Region Solicitors Conference Planning Committee - Seeking New Members
July 2, 2024
The CCLA Solicitors Conference Planning Committee is seeking a new member. The committee is a standing committee of the CCLA, accountable to the CCLA’s Board of Trustees, to which it reports through its co-chairs.
The committee typically meets every three weeks, from September until February, with ongoing activities leading up to the conference, taking place next year on Friday, May 9th, 2025 – and Saturday, May 10th, 2025. Committee members are responsible for setting the conference program, arranging speakers and panelists, and recruiting attendees.
The CCLA fosters and promotes a culture of diversity and inclusion by promoting the values and principles of equality and equity in its committee selection and programming. When choosing Committee members, the CCLA also attempts to ensure, as much as possible, that there is representation by gender, firm size, practice area, and bilingual members. For this role, we are looking for a lawyer who has been practicing for less than seven years.
If you are interested in joining the committee, please email Violet Hayward at the CCLA, vhayward@ccla-abcc.ca, to let us know. Describe the nature of your practice. Please feel free to include any other information you might feel appropriate.
The deadline for applications is Friday, August 9th, 2024, at 4:00 PM.
Please note: All applicants must be members in good standing of the CCLA.
Thank you!
Alaina Spec and Harland Tanner
