Clothing Drive: Dress for Success Needs Our Help!

Dear women and gender nonconforming individuals of our legal community,

Do you have gently used clothing that you could part with? Do you want to feel the benefits of helping women and gender nonconforming individuals succeed? If so, look no further!

We are hosting a Clothing Drive in support of Dress for Success Ottawa. They are a fantastic organization that helps individuals achieve economic independence by providing networks of support, professional attire, and development tools to help them thrive. They were recently broken into and need our community’s help to restock their shelves.

For the month of March, you can drop off gently used business attire and unopened toiletries at the CCLA at the Courthouse and Black & Associates at 352 Elgin Street. We will send them along to Dress for Success.

Dress for Success needs:

• Seasonal clothing that their clients will be able to wear right away
• Suits and separates that are modern / current and in great interview ready condition
• Gently used, clean business appropriate shoes, purses and jewelry
• Clothing that is clean, laundered or dry-cleaned, separated by type and placed folded into bags.
• New hosiery and undergarments (tags on, unopened packaging)
• Unopened toiletries and cosmetics (deodorant, unopened makeup, etc.)

Please also encourage anyone that you know to also donate the required items.

When you help empower a person in need, you help their family, community, and the economy.
