CCLA Diversity Committee: Call for New Members
January 5, 2024
The CCLA’s Diversity Committee is looking for four new members. Please consider joining us!
The Committee’s purpose is to celebrate, foster and promote a culture of diversity and inclusion within the CCLA, in the CCLA programming and the Ottawa legal community. It is a standing committee of the CCLA’s Board of Trustees, to which it reports through its Chair. Terms of Reference can be found here.
The Committee meets once a month—typically during the third week of the month from 1:00pm to 2:00pm—all year round. When choosing Committee members, the CCLA attempts to ensure, as much as possible, that there is representation by firm size, practice area, and year of call. It is also the Committee’s goal to ensure that it is diverse. We also encourage and welcome the inclusion of Judges and Masters from the region.
If you’re interested in joining the Committee, please send an email to Leanne Fair at LFair@ccla-abcc.ca. In your email, please tell us how you would contribute to the work and mandate of the Committee, and please also provide details on your practice and your year of call. The deadline for applications is February 5, 2024.
Thank you!
Please note: All applicants must be members in good standing of the CCLA.
