CCLA East Region Solicitors Conference Planning Committee - Seeking New Members

July 15, 2021
The CCLA Solicitors Conference Planning Committee is seeking a new member. The committee is a standing committee of the CCLA, accountable to the CCLA’s Board of Trustees, to which it reports through its co-chairs.

The committee typically meets every three weeks, from September until February, with ongoing activities leading up to the conference, taking place next year on Friday, May 13 – Saturday, May 14, 2022. Committee members are responsible for setting the program of the conference, arranging speakers and panelists, and recruiting attendees.

The CCLA fosters and promotes a culture of diversity and inclusion by promoting the values and principles of equality and equity in its Committee selection and programming. When choosing Committee members, the CCLA also attempts to ensure, as much as possible, that there is representation by gender, firm size, practice area, bilingual members, year of call and we encourage and welcome the inclusion of the judiciary from the region.

If you are interested in joining the committee, please send an email to Taylor Pyefinch at the CCLA, tpyefinch@ccla-abcc.ca to let us know. Include in your message what you would bring to the committee and be sure to mention your year of call and to describe the nature of your practice. Please feel free to include any other information you might feel appropriate.

The deadline for applications is Friday, August 20, 2021 at 4:00 pm.

Please note: All applicants must be members in good standing of the CCLA.

Thank you!

Julia Heintzman, Sarah Saad and Harland Tanner
