2021 Annual Institute of Family Law - Call for New Members

September 30, 2020
The planning committee of the CCLA’s Annual Institute of Family Law needs a new member. Would you like to join us? The committee is a standing committee of the CCLA’s board of trustees, to which it reports through its co-chairs. Terms of Reference for the Committee can be found here.

The committee typically meets from September until February to plan the conference. Its members liaise with speakers, organize panel discussions, and prepare demonstrations in the months leading up to the annual conference.

The CCLA fosters and promotes a culture of diversity and inclusion by promoting the values and principles of equality and equity in its Committee selection and programming. When choosing Committee members the CCLA also attempts to ensure, as much as possible, that there is representation by gender, firm size, practice area and year of call and we encourage and welcome the inclusion of Judges and Masters from the region.

Our committee is looking for someone to fill the vacancy, and very big shoes, left by H. Hunter Phillips, who has retired. Preference will be given to candidates with more than 12 years at the Bar. If you’re interested in joining the committee, please send an email to Committee Co-Chair Mimi Marrello at MMarrello@lmrlawyers.com. Please tell us what you would bring to the committee and do not forget to tell us about your practice and your year of call.

The deadline for applications is Friday, October 16, 2020.

Thank you!

Please note: All applicants must be members in good standing of the CCLA.
