Civil Litigation Conference Planning Committee – Looking Commercial Litigators
January 18, 2019
The planning committee of the CCLA’s Civil Litigation Updated Conference (also known as “the Trembello Conference”) is looking for commercial litigators to join as new committee members and help with conference planning. Would you like to join us? The committee is a standing committee of the CCLA’s board of trustees, to which it reports through its co-chairs. Terms of reference for the committee can be found here.
The committee typically meets monthly from January until July. Its members then liaise with speakers and organize panel discussions in the months leading up to the November conference, which traditionally has taken place over two days at the Fairmont Tremblant.
If you think you might be interested in joining the committee, please send an email to Jennifer Thompson at email@example.com. We do not need an elaborate application but please tell us what you would bring to the committee and do not forget to tell us about your practice and your year of call.
The deadline for applications is Wednesday, February 20, 2019.
Please note: All applicants must be members in good standing with the CCLA.
When choosing committee members for our education programs, the CCLA attempts to ensure, as much as possible, that there is representation by: gender, size of firm, Ottawa and regional speakers, newer and senior lawyers, and inclusion of Judges and Masters from the region. The CCLA fosters a culture of diversity and inclusion by enabling the values and principles of equality and equity in its programs.
