CCLA Diversity Committee: Call for New Members
November 26, 2018
The CCLA’s Diversity Committee is looking for new members. Please consider joining us. The Committee’s purpose is to celebrate, foster and promote a culture of diversity and inclusion within the CCLA, in the CCLA programming and the Ottawa legal community. It is a standing committee of the CCLA’s board of trustees, to which it reports through its co-chairs. Terms of Reference for the Committee can be found here.
The Committee typically meets on the third Tuesday of the month from 1:00 – 2:00 PM all year round. When choosing Committee members, the CCLA attempts to ensure, as much as possible, that there is representation by firm size, practice area and year of call. We also encourage and welcome the inclusion of Judges and Masters from the region.
If you’re interested in joining the committee, please send an email to Sonia Morin at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please tell us how you would contribute to the work, and constitution, of the committee. Do not forget to tell us about your practice and your year of call.
The deadline for applications is Friday, February 1, 2019.
Please note: All applicants must be members in good standing of the CCLA
