The New Lawyers & Articling Students Summit Planning Committee is Recruiting!
January 13, 2017
Have
you just started your articles or were you recently called to the Bar? Do you
want to have an impact on the types of CPD programming offered to you and your
peers? If your answer is yes, then the New Lawyers & Articling Student
Summit Planning committee wants you!
Typically, planning starts in February of each year, and there are planning
meetings once a month until July, with the Summit scheduled for September. The
committee is a standing committee of the CCLA, accountable to the CCLA’s Board
of Trustees, to which it reports through its co-chairs, Craig O’Brien and Sarah
Kennedy.
We’re looking to add one new member to the committee for the 2017 planning
year. Ideally, you’re less than seven years of Call to the Bar or an articling
student, and have an enthusiasm for providing thoughtful, practical learning
models to your colleagues. We try to have representation of a good
cross-section of the bar. As always, our goal is to offer exceptional programming
with cutting edge topics.
If you are interested in joining the committee please send an email to Jennifer
Thompson at jthompson@ccla-abcc.ca.
The deadline for applications is Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 5:00 PM.
Please note: All
applicants must be members in good standing of the CCLA.
