The 2016 CCLA / GCTC Lawyer Play - A Huge Thank You!

The CCLA /GCTC annual fundraiser, the 2016 Lawyer PlayThe Mouse That Roared, was an unprecedented success, thanks to the hard work and dedication of 26 cast members donating their time and energy throughout the rehearsals process, leading up to the performances from June 1 to 4, 2016.

What makes these busy lawyers come back year after year to give so much of their valuable time to this play? It's their undying passion for theatre and the opportunity to share some laughs and good times with their peers while helping two not-for-profit charities achieve their fundraising goals. The proceeds from the annual Lawyer Play fundraiser go to support Great Canadian Theatre Company and this year’s charity partner, Salus.

We are thrilled to announce that the 2016 Lawyer Play raised a staggering $132,000 in gross revenues, with ticket sales surpassing recent goals. Salus will benefit from a guaranteed $10,000 gift from the proceeds.

This could not have been possible without the support from our generous sponsors, donors and patrons! Thanks to GCTC production crew, administration and volunteers for their time, patience and expertise in bringing this play to stage. Each of them played an important role in this worthy fundraiser and should be proud of their achievements.
