The construction and security enhancement project at the Elgin Street entrance of the Ottawa Courthouse is scheduled to be completed by the end of the month.         Beginning on Monday, August 31, the Elgin Street doors will serve as the single pedestrian entry and exit point for the building. The doors at Laurier Avenue as well as all other doors will be emergency exits only.
Those entering the courthouse who possess security access cards will enter using their cards through the entry portal on the right side (south side) of the foyer. Please keep your card with you at all times when entering or exiting the building. Members of the public and those who do not have access cards will have to enter through the security scanning process.
The exit portals are located on the north side of the foyer and do not require an access card to exit. All other doors in the building are emergency exits only.
