CCLA President's Message - March 2014

I am proud to take on the position of CCLA’s 96th President.
What a busy first week it was! Thank you to everyone who attended the CCLA’s Annual General Meeting and Awards Ceremony on March 4th. What a joy to honour those distinguished award recipients and Umbrella Recipients who were celebrating their 50th year at the bar. Our evening of celebrations was followed by a welcoming of Mr. Justice Marc Labrosse as a Judge of the Superior Court of Justice on March 5th. The CCLA was honoured to host a reception in the Atrium so members of our bar could extend their best wishes to our newest member of the judiciary.
I look forward to ambitious year we have ahead of us as we move to advance the renovations project and undertake a review of our strategic plan as well as carry on our cornerstone conferences, projects and events. I’m excited to be working with such a committed and engaged membership.
