The Paralegal Committee is pleased to provide this program for practitioners who deal with SABs (Statutory Accident Benefits).

Our First speaker:  Jeanette Podolsky, Clinical Director, Speech Therapy Centres of Canada.
Jeanette is a very experienced speech-language pathologist, working with neuropsychologists for brain injury claimants.  The testing  helps to recognize the disabilities that other health care practitioners may not know to test for, which would assist with moving the claimants out of the Minor Injury Guideline (MIG) and possibly help qualify a claimant for the catastrophic designation.

Our Second speaker:  Paul Wanamaker, Insurance Adjuster with Wawanesa Insurance
Paul will be speaking from an insurer’s perspective. He is an experienced insurance adjuster who will talk about his experiences with the License Appeal Tribunal (LAT) hearings and will provide helpful tips and tidbits on preparing for hearings.

Paralegals, lawyers, articling students and paralegal students are all welcome.
