Seeking Lawyer with 3-5 Years’ Experience – Succession Planning

Practitioner anticipating retirement within two to three years, have an opportunity for one or two lawyers seeking to establish his / her / their own practice. This is an opportunity for someone who is considering self-employment to purchase and inherit an existing practice. In this role you will have direct client contact and independent carriage of real estate and wills and estates matters. We are only interested in highly driven professionals who want to work full time hours and build on an already lucrative law practice.

It is essential that the candidate is hard working, a team player, has great interpersonal skills and is detail oriented.

Requirements

- Ideally, but not required, to have at least 3 to 5 years of experience.
- Familiar with real estate, corporate and wills and estates practice areas.
- The candidate must be a member of the Ontario Bar, in good standing with the Law Society of Upper Canada.

The Practice

These lawyers have maintained their practice for over 35 years. The practice areas include real estate, wills and estates, corporate and family law.

The Office

The office is located in the Carling / Kirkwood area with free onsite parking. There are four lawyer’s offices, a boardroom, a signing room, eight work-stations and a kitchen.

Retirement Planning

The intention is to reduce the practice to 2 to 3 days per week starting fall 2018, and full retirement thereafter. The lawyer will continue to service real estate and wills and estates clients pending retirement.

Assistant

There are highly experienced and capable assistants currently employed, and would be available for work sharing if arrangements are required, and full employment starting early 2018.
