As breaches, ransomware, privacy complaints and class actions multiply, the regulatory framework catches up with new regulations on mandatory breach notification, Bill C-59 on national security matters, creating new obligations for the private sector and the extraterritorial application of the drastic European General Data Protection Regulation.
