Please join us at the 2017 JNF Ottawa Negev Dinner honouring Lawrence Greenspon for his outstanding community record of philanthropy, volunteerism & active support of Israel on Nov 6th, 2017 at the Infinity Centre!
Lawrence’s chosen project, ALEH Israel- Negev Campus, both aligns with his passion to care for youth with disabilities and also showcases Israel's unique "start up" culture in health care. Our keynote, Major General (Res.) Doron Almog, is both a founder of ALEH-Negev and one of the Israel Prize winners for his outstanding contribution to Israel and globally through the award-winning ALEH. In doing so, we will be raising funds for a cause that is near and dear to Lawrence. Founded in 1982 by parents who were seeking the best care and opportunities for a child with severe autism, ALEH believes that all individuals, regardless of the severity of their physical or cognitive disabilities, have the right to benefit from the best available care to reach their full potential. Today, ALEH provides care for 700 children of all faiths – Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Druze – in state-of-the art therapeutic facilities in Israel. Without ALEH, many of these children would be forced to spend their lives in hospitals, with no opportunities for rehabilitation, education, social interaction and the love and warmth of a home.
